Madelyn had the opportunity to participate in a summer camp that her voice coach hosted over the summer. It was a week long and they got to perform at the end of the week. She practiced every day for 2 hours and had to learn all her lines and all of the songs. She played the part of Kiersten and got to sing, "Never Never Land" from Peter Pan during the show. She did a great job and had lots of fun with her friends from the camp. She also tried out for "Divas" which is a group of girls that Miss Lynda coaches and they perform all over town. They have to be at least 8 years old. She was the only girl her age at tryouts but she did really well. She's not quite ready for the group but she wants to work really hard this year so she can make it next year. We just signed her up for some dance classes which she is really excited about. She's taking hip hop first to see how she likes it and then we'll go from there. I think she will really love being able to dance and sing at the same time!! Every time I think about how much she's grown up, I get emotional..my baby is BIG!!
