Okay so Madelyn totally tricked me this morning. She got up and said she was feeling sick like she had to throw up and felt really dizzy. She never stays home from school and so of course I believed her. I told her she had to go back to bed if she was going to stay home from school and that she would miss soccer practice tonight if she didn't attend school. She said okay--which really confirmed to me she wasn't lying because it's her first soccer practice and she's super excited. So she gets back in bed and goes to sleep. A little later, I was working out and running up and down the stairs--and I just happened to peek in on her. She's laying in bed with 2 pillows propping up her little head reading the Rachel Ray magazine....WHAT? Why would a 7 year old stay home to lay in bed and read a Rachel Ray magazine?? Wouldn't you rather sneak and watch TV or read something more juicy than that? I don't get it. I guess she just needed a day off! So, of course like the strict mother I am, I made her get up, get ready for school and get her butt off to school! What a stinker!

Cute blog! I love learning so much about my long lost friends.... I think if you click on my name it will tell you how to get to my blog. Love keeping in touch!
Ana!
I finally had a chance to catch up on your blog and it's adorable. I totally feel like we need to hang out and catch up!
It was crazy to see the recent family picture at your reunion. I think I could pick everyone out, but it wasn't easy! And when you called Brent Uncle Goobie I just died laughing because I TOTALLY remember your Mom calling him that. I guess it stuck, huh? Hilarious. What a wonderful family you have. Oh, and don't worry - we all have our drama - believe me! Take care and keep blogging!
OMG thats soooo funny!!! Sounds like something I would have done :) You should let her read the Rachel Ray stuff lol..... maybe she'll start cooking and give you a break :)
That is so funny! My kids always try to "play" sick to get out of things. It is a good thing I can still out smart them!
too cute. I love Malaks hair!
I just saw your comment on my blog. It has been so fun to read some of your posts and catch up on your cute family. Your kids are so grown up!
I love that you made her get up and go to school.
Ana, your kids are so cute. I love the haircut pictures-very cute. That's great that you made Madelyn go to school, they are always trying to find their limits aren't they?
Ok, I am not surprised by trying to skip school, but Rachael Ray...I am dying. Thats so random for he to be reading that. Maybe she REALLY needed a day off..lol!
